What it is for

Categories sort your shop into sections: Dresses, Shoes, Bags… Your customers find what they are looking for faster.

Creating three categories

  1. You: /categories
  2. Klin Bot: You have no categories yet. Tell me which ones to create, for example: “Dresses, Shoes, Bags”.
  3. You: Dresses, Shoes, Bags
  4. Klin Bot: I am creating these categories: • Dresses • Shoes • Bags I am shelving your items: • 4 items in Dresses • 2 items in Shoes • 1 item in “Uncategorised” Shall I apply it? ; Buttons: Confirm, Correct, Cancel

Renaming a category

  4. Klin Bot: What new name would you like to give it? For example: “rename to Evening dresses”.
  5. You: rename to Evening dresses

Step by step

  1. Type /categories. The bot shows you your categories, or offers to create some.

  2. Write the names, separated by commas.

  3. The bot shows you the categories to create, and where it puts your items. Tap Confirm.

  4. To rename, hide or delete a category, open it in your shop, copy its address and send it to the bot: it shows you its buttons.

Good to know

  • The command is the same in French and in English: /categories. The bot always says “category”.
  • On the first creation, the bot sorts the products already online by itself. What it cannot sort goes to “Uncategorised”.
  • Hiding a category does not hide its items: they stay online, shelved elsewhere.
  • Deleting a category does not erase its items: they move to “Uncategorised”, which cannot be deleted.
